We held a live AMA with Co-Founders, Andrew Kline and Ludovic Bret from DoinGud on 9th September 10:00 PM (UTC+8). Here’s the recap for those who missed it.

Introduction

Serene: Before AMA start, can you introduce yourselves and the team background?

Adrien: My name is Adrien, at DoinGud I am head of comms for crypto-natives. I have a wide professional experience in various positions including comms, marketing, content creation, tokenomics, UX and programming. I’m originally more of tech guy but I’m very versatile and have strong interest in online communities, knowledge in finance and strong crypto background.

Regarding our team: made of 40+ persons, our distributed and remote-first organization has members all over the globe. We embrace diversity, many of us speak 3+ languages, we have a multi-cultural mindset and nearly half of the team are women.

Our founders are crypto-natives with strong commitment to creating impact. They are the hyper-connectors between creators, collectors and social causes.

Andrew: I’m Andrew, one of the co-founders leading the operations and finance areas of the project. I’m originally from the US, but have been based in Europe for the last 3 years. I previously worked at one of the largest cooperatives in the world (old school DAOs!) , completed my MBA in Spain, launched an EdTech Start-up, and now fully thrilled about what we are building at DoinGud :D

Serene: Any latest/ update news about DoinGud you would like to share with our community?😀

Andrew: Product development is coming along nicely, and we just recently released a sneak peak of how it is looking 👀

Adrien: ctually, we have a LOT happening in the coming months. In the order :

1/ Litepaper public release — prob the most sexy ever created in the crypto space, no bs — it will come with ton of super hot “reveals”

2/ App Launch — this will be together with many awesome Drops — the whole flow Creators-Causes-Collectors will become reality

3/ Multi gallery launch

4/ Staking/Farming … let’s make DeFi great again with some ground breaking features

5/ TGE

Another couple of Sneak Peaks into our Litepaper and App 🙂

Twitter Section:

Q1: I found DoinGud has “Meta Gallery And Community Gallery”. Can you tell us in more detail what is a Meta gallery? How is your gallery different from an existing gallery? And Who will run the curation of the DoinGud Community Gallery? Also, how will they be selected?

Adrien: So there are 2 aspects to our platform “selling mechanisms”

- Multi-Gallery: anyone can open a gallery by staking our token, each gallery is self-sovereign, only the owner(s) decides what to feature in her/his gallery

- Self Drops: creators can independtly release their artwork. This feature is very complementary to the Multi-gallery feature, it gives the choice to creators to be represented by someone or sell their pieces on their own.

The Multi-Gallery feature will be available after some time. At first, there will be only one gallery. This DoinGud Community Gallery will be curated by partners and our curation team. These partners are creators and collectors with strong experience in the space.

Q2: DoinGud was built on Polygon Network. While Ethereum is the most popular NFTs creation blockchain, why didn’t you choose the ETH network? What role does each of these chains play in your ecosystem? Do you have a cross-chain bridge between chains?

Andrew: We chose to start with Polygon largely due to be the most Sustainable & Eco-Friendly, allowing our transactions to have at least 99% lower fees and carbon footprint than the competition. We believe this makes NFTs more accessible and better for the planet.

Moreover, Polygon is ETH Compatible and Interoperable to EVM compatible chains! So we can integrate with Ethereum at anytime, when Ethereum switches to POS for instance 😉

We believe the future can’t be fully predicted, so it’s good to be flexible. Our platform infrastructure will allow for cross-chain provenance and interoperability, meaning royalty streams will stay intact, transaction history transparent, and collectors will have the freedom to move NFTs to the blockchain ecosystem of their choosing.

Q3: NFTs are undeniably a big deal in the blockchain space right now. There are an increasing number of NFTs being created across a broad range of platforms like music, art, gaming and collectibles. So how does DoinGud differrents from the other multi-chain NFT marketplace???

Adrien: DoinGud is differentiating itself on many fronts actually.

First we are relentlessly creating content to educate and help creators, social causes, collectors and other actors to connect with one another. We are bridging the gap between communities in a way no-one does. Expect hardcore crypto-natives to join but also more traditional players to join us and open galleries, run drops, etc.

On the tech side, we are pioneering many features and using a super hot stack. Our users will be blown away by the possibilities opening to them. Last but not least, our design team is also super strong, so our designs are just next-level gud. We’re putting the bar really high, setting new standards for the NFT industry.

Of course, the connection to social causes is also a very special aspect of our ecosystem. We’re providing transparency, traceability and provenance within the donation flow. Public figures from within and outside the crypto space can now be super public about their positive impact without needing to do anything: it’s directly shown on their profile, who they give to, when, through which art piece, etc. Again, setting a new standard in the NFT and Crypto industry… but also in the “Giving” economy

Q4: on your website it says “Our scalable PoS infrastructure” what does scalable mean? and how do creators, curators, brands and organizations earn from joining Doingud ? and the income earned in the form of coins / cash?

Andrew: In terms of scalability, we are referring again to Polygon and the long-term viability of PoS blockchains that are more eco-friendly, blazing fast, and significantly lower transaction costs. As such, we can handle much higher volumes at reasonable costs for the collectors, and save the planet at the same time!

Creators, curators, brands and organizations will earn from joining DoinGud in multiple ways :) Of course it starts with the direct earnings all will be able to capture with our Multi-Gallery system where any curator, community, brand can open their own gallery and curate as they desire. These gallery owners will be able to view creations from a curation pool, submit proposals to the creators and the feature the creations on their gallery after agreeing to terms. We believe this aligns incentives for the curators to get recognized at fair value for their contribution and added value to creators.

Moreover, creators, curators, brands and organizations will also be to earn through staking and farming programs with our native platform $AMOR Token :)

Q5: I actually have discovered that after an $NFT is offered in #DoinGud marketplace, proceeds can be given to a specific social organization. Who makes a decision on what social institution might be decided on to have the proceeds? Is it pre-decided through your crew or is it?

Adrien: Who makes a decision on what social institution might be decided on to have the proceeds? Is it pre-decided through your crew or is it?

The social causes are sourced, vetted (KYB, KYC) and onboarded by the DoinGud Team.
We work with social causes that are formally and legally registered as 501c3 and non-profit organizations.
All of the causes we work with also are in line with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development goals.

Creators themselves pick the social causes (from these onboarded orgs) that receive the proceeds.

Telegram Live AMA Begin:

Q6: You recently announced a partnership with Agora, so could you explain to me how Agora will influence the development of DoinGud? How will this association positively impact your project?

Adrien: Agora is a close partner of us, we love their platform, the narrative they have weaved around their product and the positive impact they have in people’s lives by showcasing incredible untapped creative talents. No wonder they got such huge success, their work is top quality and the winning photos of every competition are mind blowing.

We have big plans for the future with Agora. We already have several drops planned with Agora and the biggest news is only to come 😉

We are super happy to launch a drop with them during our App Launch month. 📸 🚀 Check out that sexy video announcement they made in this twitter thread https://twitter.com/DoinGudHQ/status/1428423417808658434?s=20

Q7: How do beginners know things about NFT is there any novice user education about NFT on Doingud ?

Andrew: We believe this is super important and are really focused on educating the masses that want to join the NFT movement. That’s why we host many weekly events that bring thought leaders into the conversation to share with this ever growing community joining the space.

You can catch a glimpse of these weekly events here!
https://twitter.com/DoinGudHQ/status/1434887911573364738

Next, we are creating a lot of education content to share through our social channels and on the platform directly.

Lastly, we are committed to creating a very clean user experience that even non-crypto-natives can seamlessly create or collect their first NFTs. This includes accepting payment in credit cards, signing up just with an email, and very simple NFT upload flow.

Q8: Something very important about DoinGud is that it seeks to empower the community, how much freedom and possibilities do you give to the DoinGud community? How can you strengthen the bond of your community and the opportunities that are presented to them?

Adrien: The DoinGud community will gradually get more freedom as the platform evolves and the community matures.

The features provided by the platform will allow unprecedented levels of creativity, collaboration and transparency. We’re not even launched yet and we’re already working hard on building the community through events, education content and more.

Eventually the community will be the one leading the project through the DoinGud DAO. We’re bullish on Human Capital and Community Leadership, many of us met through community events and grew to what we are today via these events too. So we all know too well how important this is and have put humans and humanity at the center of the ecosystem for that reason too.

Q9: DoinGud, can you tell us about the “Automatic Collaboration Payments” feature? How is it working?

Andrew: Absolutely! This enables easy collaboration for creators by automatically distributing proceeds from primary and secondary market sales to their respective creators, collaborators, and social causes.

No more single points of failure when one creator has to upload a co-created NFT and then manually split the payments / future royalties on the backend :)

Q10: In your post about token utility is saw alot of staking features that available from $AMOR token. Could elaborate more about it and also when will it available for staking ?

Adrien: DoinGud will be bringing staking to whole new level. We can only say we will combine the best of the industry AND add inovation on top. Expect the unexpected 😉

Q11: I read that certain proceeds From NFT sales on your platform will be channeled towards a social cause, however many PFP NFT Drops are claiming to donate part of their proceeds to social causes. But the funny thing is that there is zero transparency in this process which makes it difficult to know if they actually donated or not. How does this donation work in your own case? Will it be done onchain for everyone to see?

Adrien: Yes. In our case every single donation will be on-chain !

Q12: Are you planning to promote your project in countries / regions where English is not good? Do you have a local community for them to better understand your project?

Adrien: That’s totally correct. We are actually already collaborating with people all around the globe to promote DoinGud, raise awareness and educate about NFTs in many different languages.

We are ourselves from all continents so we have designed DoinGud with internationalization in mind from day 1, on the platform and in the community efforts too.

Not long ago we were in Paris (some of us speak French) for the biggest European Ethereum Conference. We got to connect with crypto-natives from all around the globe. It was incredible.

Q13: I read on a site that before DoinGud was founded, it was known as FightPandemics,. Was the goals and mission of FightPandemics still visible inside DoinGuds’ motives, and why did you rebrand to “DoinGud”?

Andrew: I’m happy to share our origin story :)

FightPandemics was a project many of our core team members worked on together to build a social platform to connect those who need help with those who wanted to provide help during the pandemic. We realized in this journey that so many social organizations, charities, mutual aid groups were run by creators, as a very community focused type of person.

This shined the light that there was not clear enough connection between these two worlds of the creator economy and giving economy. As such our mission to drive social impact and empower meaningful creation along with the underlying values continue into our starting of this new project, DoinGud :D

Q14: I am excited for the DoinGud app launch.

💢When its going to launch then?

💢Is there any beta version for testing ?

Adrien: We are also super pumped about the DoinGud launch. We are so close now… 🚀

We have shared a few sneak peak on Twitter so you can check these out. The previews are simply 10x better than any other existing NFT platform out there right now.

For the launch, we’ll be doing this amazing exhibition featuring super talented creators. Don’t miss it, it’s going to be fire ! 🔥 https://twitter.com/DoinGudHQ/status/1423041694312800258?s=20
