Phantom AMA Summary Recap with Shin Chan Community
We held a live AMA with Co-founder, Mr Phantom from Phantom Protocol on 6th September 9:00 PM (UTC+8). Here’s the recap for those who missed it.

JH | ShinChan: Before the ama start, Can you please introduce yourself to our community？
Mr Phantom: Hi all, I am Mr. Phantom, one of the founding members of the Phantom protocol. I am a veteran in the crypto industry, having been through ups and downs in the industry since 2015.
I came from a development and finance background and had worked on various projects including public chains, privacy tokens, cross-border payments, DeFi, NFT and now synthetic assets. The reason that attracted me to create Phantom is that the hope to provide everyone with the chance to access the most profitable and interesting financial instruments out there in the market, be it derivatives, stocks or commodities.
Additionally, I had been a collector of NFTs and early engagers on NFT gaming, and it has been my dream to combine defi and NFT together. So now you have Phantom. And I want to tell you more about it today.
JH | ShinChan: Can you briefly tell us about Phantom Protocol?
Mr Phantom: Phantom is a cross-chain synthetic asset issuance protocol that enables all DeFi users to participate in multi-market investment in a decentralized manner. Using the Phantom protocol, users can create synthetic assets (pAssets) with collateral on Ethereum, BSC, Conflux, and Heco for exchange or liquidity mining.
pAssets track the price movements of the various physical world or on-chain assets, such as stocks, gold & silver, cryptocurrencies, NFT, etc, allowing investors to trade multi-market assets on a single platform, eliminating the cost and risk of asset transfers.
Phantom’s Conflux mainnet passed code audit by CertiK and was released on August 2, 2021, with a first-day TVL of more than 5 million USD. Its Genesis NFT release was also sold out in 14 minutes.

Q1: What steps have been taken to make Phantom protocol secure and reliable? Have you completed any audit?
Mr Phantom: Phantom Protocol takes security very seriously.
we have a team of dedicated team members to make our information secure and safe. The members work continuously to have our system rid of risks
additionally, we also ask our community to always provide feedbacks and comments on product issues and problems they encounter.

Q2: I read that to celebrate Phantom’s “public token offering”, you’re holding a Whitelist Airdrop campaign for the community. So, is this campaign still going on? How much IDO allocation will each winner receive as a prize? And what are the conditions to follow it?
Mr Phantom: great question, yes, the campaign is still on going, currently DODO still has the whitelist available and you can participate through the link below. The allocation for each prize is 250 USDT.
Q3: A strong community not only brings interesting ideas to the project but also attracts larger partners. So how #phantomdefi planning to build its community? And is there a plan to recruit people with Blockchain experience to your team?
Mr Phantom: oh definitely, we always welcome new members with good knowledge to compensate for the team development. For community, we always want our community to be the best community that have its members to flourish, we want our fans to be engaged with the product, to let us know their thoughts and questions. Finally, we see community as part of the building team of the Phantom Protocol, so we welcome all those who are interested in letting us know their thoughts :)
Q4: I saw that your platform was built using BSC platforms at the beginning. What prompted you to extend and start, rather than keeping to one platform and building your project? Is Phantom considering moving to another blockchain in the future?
Mr Phantom: Phantom was incubated by Conflux originally, so we built the first mainnet on Conflux chain
but Phantom is always designed to be a cross-chain product so we have been working towards adapting it to new chains
currently we have worked to have the chain launched on BSC and ETH next, and we are looking into other chain options as well.
Q5: For any project, its development is 90% dependent on how strong its team is. I have seen many projects fail, due to the lack of skills, experience and knowledge of the team. So, with #phantom, is the team qualified to achieve all your goals?
Mr Phantom: Definitely. The phantom team consists of members from all around the world from US to Singapore to Vietnam and China. The team has an average of 3+ years working in the blockchain industry. For backgrounds, the team members are mostly from Fintech and tech development backgrounds with experience in finance. We are happy to be working with each other, and we always welcome new joiners to help us.

Mr Phantom: oh quite a lot, we plan to offer fraction trades on the NFTs so users can have more chances to profit. Additionally, we plan to launch a series of NFTs that are linked to popular manga and anime IPs.

Q9: Marketing strategy is very important for every projects. A products be established on the market without marketing & promotion, whatever it is good. So what are your plans for this? How will you build strong relationships with communities?
Mr Phantom: reat question, we welcome all users to come engage with us, let us know their thoughts and ideas about the product. We strongly believe the user feedbacks are the king of the product development.
