WinkyVerse AMA Summary Recap with Shin Chan Community
We held a live AMA with CEO and Founder, Boris Kesler from WinkyVerse on 10th November 05:00 PM (UTC+8). Here’s the recap for those who missed it.

Serene | Shin Chan: Welcome to our community. Before we start the AMA, can you please introduce yourselves and the team background to our community?
Boris: I have always been passionate about robots since childhood
so in 2017, almost 5 years ago I create Mainbot and the educational robot Winky to teach kids about robotics programming and artificial intelligence
Our goal is to prepare them to the future
In 2021, Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, NFT and Metaverse will be a big part of our daily lives
That’s why we created The Winkyverse, the first educational metaverse that combines robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, blockchain technologies and NFT
We are a team of 25 people with offices in the center of Paris.

The first one is that we currently have our public sales running for the Winkies, the winkyverse utility tokens
We closed Round 1 2 days earlier than expected with 3,600,000€ of Winkies sold to our community
Round 2 has just started yesterday

We are also actively preparing the listing
First on DEX Uniswap and Pancakeswap at the end of the ICO
and we got introductions to CEX such as Kucoin and Ascendex.

Q1: Do you intend to incorporate NFT into your ecosystem? What is your project’s principal vision and goal? What exactly are you attempting to achieve in this very competitive Blockchain space?
Boris: Yes
The NFT will be one of the building blocks of our eco-system
We have already released a first batch of 12,111 NFTs that can be used as avatard in The Winkyverse and that comes with several perks attached to them

Our vision and goal is to educate children all over the world
teaching them about new technologies
in a fun and engaging way
that’s why we created the winkyverse
our website getwinkies.com is about to be translated in 8 extra languages in the next few days to really have a metaverse open to people from all over the world
Education + gathering the families together inside of a Metaverse dedicated to education is our goal
we don’t think it’s a good think for kids to spend too much time on their screens by themselves
so why not instead having them join the winkyverse with their families to spend quality time and learn together ?
That’s what we want to achieve.
Q2: On its platform, Winkies promises to provide learning and educational benefits to kids. Can you explain how children will be educated as a result of playing your game?
Boris: Yes, we believe that education and studying should be fun for kids
The more fun it is, the more time they will spend learning, the more they will grow.
It’s all about gamification
The games will include scholar topics such as english, mathematics, history, geography
but also games about new technologies such as learning programming and artificial intelligence
and of course, learning to use cryptocurrencies and NFT which we are confident will be mainstream very soon
In a near future, it will not make sense to teach kids about money without talking about cryptocurrencies and NFTs
We already have partnerships with hundreds of game developers to develop games for the winkyverse and we want to reach thousands as soon as possible
Q3: What is the official date for the launching of WinkyVerse game and winkies? When and where will the publicsale take place? Will there be requirement for a whitelisting for your public sale? I’m hoping you’ll respond to my inquiries; your project is fantastic; thank you!
Boris: That’s many questions :)

No whitelisting needed to purchase Winkies
Nevertheless, The NFTs from the Winkybots collection that I mentionned earlier (www.winkybots.io) can only be purchased by people who are whitelisted
Q4: Winkies token is built on the Ethereum platform. Why you chose Ethereum in the first place regardless of the fact that it has a problem with high gas fees and scalability? How do you deal with the issue of expensive gas? Is it possible that other chains will be included as well?
Boris: Thanks for this very interesting question @lunaa_miracle
We decided to start on Ethereum because despite of high gas fees, it has the largest ecosystem available at the moment.
For example, The Sandbox whose co-founder Sébastien Borget is one of our advisors, is built on Ethereum
Nevertheless, we are very aware of gas fees problems and that’s why we have created a bridge between the blockchain Ethereum and the Binance smart chain so the Winkies will be available on both.
Besides, we are discussing with our advisors who co-founded the Blockchains Ultra (specialized in Gaming) and Ternoa (specialized in NFTs) to create bridges with their blockchains as well
Q5: Families from all over the world will visit the WinkyVerse to Learn, Create, Play, and Connect in three unique areas. So, could you describe the four parts of Learn, Create, Play, and Connect, as well as the equipment required to get started with WinkyVerse?
Boris: Great question! We have already done several AMAs but nobody asked about the four words of our Motto : Learn, Create, Play and Connect.
Learn : Both Kids and their parents will be able to join the Winkyverse to come and learn new things everyday
Create : The Winky Maker will allow users but also artists to create their own NFT and own customized version of Winky robot

Play : There will be thousands of games available in the Winkyverse to play
Connect: The Winkyverse is a Metaverse so it’s all about connection. We want to encourage users to meet and connect together.
It will be more fun to play the games with Winky Robot but no equipment will be needed to play most of the games

Q6: I Read that ROUND 2 IS LIVE and It is the Great Opportunity to Get the WINKIES , Can you please tell me More about this and How Can I participate in this Round , What steps I nees to Follow to get my WINKIES ?
Boris: Hi, yes it’s very easy. You just need to connect to getwinkies.com and follow the steps outlined there.
The Winkies will be released after the ICO depending on the cliff and vesting terms of the round 2.
You will also need to do your KYC to validate your identity before the end of the public sales and that’s it!
Q7: I see that WinkyVerse is a unique 3D open environment. However, can players develop and sell their own educational games for children or for adults with their own game themes? If so, how?
Boris: There will be a lot of mini worlds inside the Winkyverse and in each world it will be possible for users to create their own educational games but it will still requires to use our proprietaty game editors.
Q8: Metaverse projects with real foundations are proliferating and are sure to become very popular. What are the features that make WinkVerse different from other competitors?
Boris: The Winkyverse is the First Metaverse fully dedicated to education. That’s what makes us different from all other metaverses which are only game-oriented.
Q9: Am I late for the Round 2 of purchasing Winkies? Are there plans for there to be a Round 3 incase I missed out of the Round 2? What is the maximum amount of Winkies I can get in a round?
Boris: Round 2 will be Live until November 21 so you still have time to participate. There will be a round 3 starting November 22 but the Winkies will get more expensive (0,01€/token vs 0,008€/token at the moment)
Q10: Do you require us to make KYC from and for your investors on WinkyVerse?
Boris: Yes it’s mandatory to do your KYC but you have until the end of the Public sales to do it , so no rush :)
Q11: Has the team taken the project and the robot to the Asian market? Have you advertised in this powerful market when it comes to technology?
Boris: Asia is one of our key target markets. We already have a few japanese investors in our project and we just signed up with a Japanese agency to promote the Winkies there. We are also in the process of hiring native speakers of other asian languages.
Q12: When we talk about educational games today, the first boring games that come to our minds, will WinkyVerse be boring in the game? Will WinkyVerse’s game have a fluid structure? What age range will WinkyVerse appeal to?
Boris: We are very aware of the problem that most education games are also currently boring. That’s why one of the main focus of our core team is to make sure the games are fun to play to keep kids focus ans attention as long as possible. The target age range for “kids” is 5 to 16 but we are also developping games for the parents and families (such as board games) so that they can spend time together in the Winkyverse
Q13: Building an educational Robot and starting a crypto and gaming ecosystem is totally different, so what kind of consultancy and partnerships has the Winky team incorporated for this new stage of the project? Do you have the qualified staff for this?
Boris: That’s a very good point. The thing is that to develop games for the educational robots, we already hired a team of video games developers who are full time members of our team of 25 people. Besides this to move forward and create the Winkyverse, we surrounded ourselvers with top advisors such as co-founders of The Sandbox, Ultra and Ternoa but we also hired service providers who specialized in creating Metaverses.
Q14: As mentioned, Winky is used every day by thousands of families to teach 5 to 12 year olds about robotics, programming and artificial intelligence.
So, which country is your main target? When will you test the project and what are your plans for global adoption worldwide?
Boris: Our company is French so our first market was the French market and we quickly expanded across Europe ( The UK, Switzerland, Germany…)
We just arrived in the United States one month ago
Now we also want to use the Winkyverse to expand to Asia as soon as possible
Q15: Congratulations sir, 70% of $WNK allocated to round 1 are now sold. And you will host round 2. Can we shinchan community still have the opportunity to participate in round 2? How can we participate in round 2?
Boris: I don’t know where you got the figure of 70% sold but now we are 100% sold for Round 1
and already 20% sold for Round 2 which just started 2 days ago

Q16: Sir Which do you think is more important:
1. Community
2. Investors
3. Token Price
If all of the above is important to you whiich should come first
Boris: Community is by far the more important and I will tell you why. Without a community, there is basically no project which is not good for the investors and even worse for the token price. Focusing on having a great community will attract the best investors which will 100% benefit the token price!
Q17: What will be the ways to invest in Winkyverse, how and where can we buy $WKN token, will there be any IDO/ICO soon, will it be through whitelist, where do you plan to list it?
Boris: You will receive your $WNK tokens in the 30 days following the end of the ICO if you participate in Round 3 or depending on the cliff and vestings if you participate in the other rounds.
Q18: I’m wondering when do you plan to list WinkyVerse project in the top tier-1 exchanges like Binance exchange?
Boris: We will start listing the Winkyverse or Centralized exchanges in Q1 2021. For the best exchanges such as Binance, it will take more time but the faster our community grow and the sooner we will be big enough to be listed.
Q19: This year we have seen many projects were unsuccessful because of lack of solving real world problems and as investors we understand that a defi project needs to solve real world problems so does WinkyVerse project solve any real world problems?
Boris: Unfortunately many companies just launch their tokens to make a quick buck. Our company has already been educating childre for 5 years. We do consider that the lack of access to education and new technologies is indeed a real world problem to solve. And we are going to tackle it with The Winkyverse.
Q20: Many people know about crypto but there are still some people who don’t know anything about crypto and blockchain so my question is how can WinkyVerse bring those people in crypto and blockchain?
Boris: Actually that’s one of the purposes of the Winkyverse : to teach parents and kids who don’t know anything about cryptos and NFT through game experiences. Our strenght compared to other pure crypto companies is that most of our current customers ( soon to be 25,000 by the end of the year) don’t have a crypto background.
The Winky robot can be found on the shelves of major retailers in many parts of Europe and will soon be available in the US. So every time someone buy a Winky robot, they will also get to be interested in the Winkies and The Winkyverse and like this, we will be able to introduce them to cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
